Terms and Conditions (T&C)

Valid from 1 December 2025 until revoked

I. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to all services and events offered by the European Institute for Safe Communication (EISC). They govern the contractual relationship between service users and event participants (hereinafter “Contracting Parties”) and the EISC.

These T&C are binding for all Contracting Parties. By purchasing services or booking events, the Contracting Parties accept these Terms and Conditions. They form an integral part of every contract concluded between the Contracting Parties and the EISC, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any deviations require written form.

II. Conditions

  1. Booking

The booking of services or events is carried out through the EISC website and is binding. It requires the correct entry of first and last name as well as a valid e-mail address. Contracting Parties are responsible for protecting their login credentials.

  1. Commencement and Duration of the Contract

The contract is concluded upon completion of the online booking. Confirmation of payment constitutes acceptance of the contract. There is no entitlement to the conclusion of a contract.

The contract ends upon provision of the agreed service or after the booked event has taken place. Early termination of the contract by the Contracting Party is not permitted.

  1. Events

The EISC reserves the right to limit the number of participants for quality reasons. Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received. Each registration is confirmed by e-mail.

a. Participation Fee

Participation in events requires payment of the applicable participation fee. Invoicing and payment take place as part of the online registration process. Any discount systems apply only to purchases of multiple services or events made on the same day.

The current prices are published on the EISC website and include VAT. They form an integral part of the contract.

b. Services Provided

The participation fee applies per person and per event session. It includes beverages, refreshments, lunch (for full-day events only), and all event materials.

c. Conduct of Events

The EISC reserves the right to cancel events for urgent reasons or due to insufficient participant numbers. In such cases, participation fees already paid will be refunded or may be credited toward another EISC event.

The EISC may replace announced speakers, reassign participants to different sessions, or make program changes, provided the overall character of the event is preserved.

d. Recordings

During events, the EISC or persons commissioned by the EISC may create photo, video, or audio recordings. These may be used for documentation, informational, or marketing purposes on the EISC website, social media, publications, and other communication channels. Contracting Parties who do not wish to appear in such recordings must inform the EISC before the start of the event.

  1. Insurance / Liability

Contracting Parties are responsible for obtaining any necessary insurance coverage. The EISC does not provide insurance services and assumes no liability for damages resulting from force majeure, accidents, illness, or death.

It is recommended that Contracting Parties take out private cancellation insurance that reimburses participation fees in the event they are unable to attend a booked event due to unforeseen personal circumstances. This does not affect contractual obligations towards the EISC.

The EISC’s liability for personal injury or damage to property during an event or accompanying programmes is excluded, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

The EISC is not liable for errors caused by third parties, technical disruptions, defective software, malware, spyware, or operational interruptions resulting from maintenance work or technical adjustments.

  1. In-house Seminars

Upon request, the EISC conducts in-house seminars or events. Organisation and delivery are based on a separate written agreement.

  1. Intellectual Property / Usage Rights (IP)

All content provided by the EISC in connection with its services or events – including presentations, documents, scripts, methods, concepts, videos, photos, digital learning materials, access to online platforms, and other materials – is protected by copyright and remains the sole property of the EISC. Contracting Parties receive a personal, non-transferable right to use such content for their own non-commercial purposes.

Any dissemination, reproduction, publication, translation, modification, recording (photo, video, audio), or other use beyond personal use, as well as any commercial use, is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of the EISC.

Likewise, sharing, publishing, or distributing login credentials for digital content, online platforms, or protected areas of the EISC is not permitted.

III. Final Provisions

  1. Data Protection

The processing of personal data by the EISC is carried out in accordance with the current Privacy Policy available on the EISC website. It forms an integral part of these T&C.

  1. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction

These T&C are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from these T&C is Altdorf (Canton of Uri), subject to mandatory statutory jurisdictions.

  1. Severability

Should any provision of these T&C prove invalid or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that comes as close as possible to the purpose and intent of the original.

  1. Language / Interpretation

These T&C may be made available in several languages. In the event of discrepancies, the German version shall prevail for legal interpretation.

  1. Amendments

The EISC reserves the right to modify these T&C as well as the published prices at any time. Any changes will be published on the EISC website. It is the responsibility of the Contracting Parties to inform themselves of the current version of the T&C.
