Safety 360° SummitWhat is the "World Day for Safety & Health"?
Every year on 28 April, the World Day for Safety and Health at Work draws attention to the consequences of work-related illnesses, injuries, and fatalities – and to the critical role that deeply embedded safety cultures play in protecting human lives.
In 2026, the EISC expands this focus: the Safety 360° Summit places interpersonal, digital, systemic, and societal safety factors at the center – often invisible dynamics that determine safety or harm, particularly in complex risk situations.
SAFETY 360° SUMMIT
Cyberattacks, AI-driven disinformation, rising geopolitical tensions, and societal polarisation simultaneously shape today’s landscape of safety and risk – yet they are still largely addressed in isolation within industry-specific silos.
The Safety 360° Summit transforms this fragmentation into a shared strategic dialogue, laying the foundation for more effective responses to the central safety challenges of our time.
- Six curated keynote perspectives from leading international figures in high-risk systems, risk and crisis management, journalism, cybersecurity, science, and geopolitics provide cross-sector insights into the growing complexity of modern working environments – highlighting the processes and structures that will shape safety and resilience in the years ahead.
- An exclusive expert dialogue between the Head of the Radiation Protection Section of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health and the Director of the Harding Centre for Risk Literacy, Prof. Gerd Gigerenzer, explores the highly topical tension between effective crisis communication and public risk literacy.
- Journalism takes centre stage for the first time as a safety actor – serving as a critical interface between information, trust, and societal resilience.
- In a joint panel discussion, the keynote speakers synthesize their perspectives into a cross-industry Safety 360° Agenda 2026+ – a strategic orientation framework for executives and decision-makers in safety-critical domains.
